Serving the K-12 population in the Chattanooga, TN area, this full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position supports elementary school-aged students within local school settings. The role requires on-site attendance, focusing on direct therapy, evaluations, and participation in relevant meetings. Assignments will vary between one to three schools, depending on caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to elementary students
- Conduct evaluations and participate in student progress meetings
- Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and school staff to support student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Tennessee SLPA license and School Services Personnel License with SLPA endorsement
- Valid Tennessee Department of Education certification
- Previous experience working as an SLPA in schools preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage caseload and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Location and Schedule:
- On-site role based in Chattanooga, Tennessee
- Full-time position, 35 to 37.5 hours per week
